The Management Division (MD) Senior Advisor is located in the Management Division (MD) of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). This position is responsible for coordinating, leading, and developing responsive deliverables for MD's centralized projects, process improvement initiatives, data calls, and high-level taskers. The Senior Advisor's projects and activities are generally short-term in nature, but with long-term implications, and may result in modifications, expansions, or terminations of functions, processes, procedures, or activities for all of MD's functions (security, finance/budget, human resources, training, facilities, records management, and privacy). As such, the incumbent will require the ability to access and work with classified or law enforcement-sensitive information on behalf of the Associate and Deputy Associate Directors. Incumbent will provide guidelines that describe the manner in which these changes will be implemented and make recommendations to the Associate Director and Deputy Associate Director regarding any required staff resources or financial obligations. The Senior Advisor's projects may involve coordination and cooperation with senior officials within FinCEN, main Treasury, and external organizations such as GSA, GAO, and OPM.

Major Duties
Security Clearance: This position has been designated national security Level II, Non-Critical Sensitive. Applicants must possess a favorably-adjudicated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), and have been awarded a Secret clearance or be willing to undergo an SSBI, and the SSBI must be favorably adjudicated. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination. Continued employment with FinCEN is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the SSBI, the results of which fully meet FinCEN's special employment criteria. All employees are subject to satisfactory completion of periodic reinvestigation and a continuing lifestyle in conformity with applicable national and FinCEN directives. Any unfavorable information developed during an investigation or other official inquiry may result in termination of employment in accordance with established security policies and procedures.
