This position is located in Police Service located at the VA Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Operations Officer serves as an armed uniformed supervisory police officer (Operations Officer) and reports directly to the Deputy Chief of Police. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift, 7:00am-3:30pm, including irregular hours as needed or tasked.

Physical Requirements:
Requires moderate - arduous physical exertion and/or duties of a hazardous nature (i.e. frequent climbing of multiple flights of stairs, lifting heavy objects over 50 lbs, crouching/crawling in restrictive areas during search/pursuit activities, or defending oneself/others against physical attack). Work requires frequent exposure to inclement weather conditions, i.e. rain & extreme cold in winter & extreme heat in summer, while on outside patrol, couples with high humidity factors.

Must be able to obtain and maintain active certification through the State of Ohio as a terminal operator for RCIC/LEADS/NCIC. Maintain Current Drivers License. Maintain acceptable Background Investigation and re-certification. Maintain weapons qualifications and re-certifications.
Investigation of Fitness:
