This position is located in the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), Fort Drum, NY. The position involves performing a variety of warehousing duties that include the identification and examination of ammunition and explosive materials. You will receive, store, issue, ship, and inspect ammunition; performing tasks in regards to the receipt, storage, classification, and shipment of ammunition items. You will receive shipments of small arms ammunition and other ammunition items including white phosphorous, rockets (practice and high explosive), TNT, dynamite, blasting caps, simulator, fuses, flares, signals, mines and grenades. You will tally shipments to indicate the exact amount of quantities received, any overages, and/or any shortages and signs for serviceability; mark defective ammunition as prohibited for issue and prepare for destruction and maintain magazine data cards; set up and maintain in-storage ammunition and explosives for basic loads.
