The purpose of the position is to provide technical services in applications programming; system administration; database administration; installation and maintenance of hardware; and installation, upgrade, and maintenance of software.
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
Military Grades: E3 to E6

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, training, or education which demonstrates the applicants ability to follow directions, procedures, or systematic work methods which gives evidence of the candidates ability to perform this work. Experience using computer and automation systems. Work involving the performance or supervision of data processing support and services functions for users of computer systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-05 - Must have at least 6 months experience receiving, maintaining and issuing data storage media for computer operations. Experience in identifying errors caused by system malfunction. Experience identifying standardized data processing rules, operations and procedures enabling employees to resolve common or recurring problems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-06 - Must have at least 9 months experience receiving, maintaining and issuing data storage media for computer operations. Experience in scheduling the use of computer time for program processing. Experience collecting and sequentially staging input media with associated program instructions for processing. Experience in at least one programming language.
