This Direct Hire recruitment is to fill positions based on a critical hiring need resulting from the outbreak and spread of the opioid crisis, which has caused a public health emergency. As such, all applicants who meet the public health competencies and the minimum specialized experience qualifications related to opioid addiction, prevention, and treatment service delivery will be referred to hiring managers for further consideration.
This position is a mission critical occupation and is responsible for analyzing public health programs, policies and procedures to ensure that Health Resources and Services Administration meets its mission, goals and objectives.
As a Public Health Analyst providing support for the opioid epidemic, you will perform analytical work contributing to planning, development, execution and improvement of national health programs in the field of opioid abuse treatment. Your responsibilities require a keen understanding of the interrelationships with opioid addiction, prevention, treatment and related public health organizations and stakeholders at the Federal, State, and local level.

RESEARCH AND EVALUATION- Knowledge of the scientific principles, methods, and processes used to conduct a systematic and objective inquiry; including study design, collection, analysis, and interpretation of data; and the reporting of results.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT - Designs, implements and manages multiple or ongoing programs/projects, and directs the related resources, personnel and activities.
STRATEGIC PLANNING - Supports organizational goals and objectives in accordance with strategic and/or operations plans.
