The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is required by law to review the executive qualifications of each new career appointee to the Senior Executive Service (SES) prior to appointment. To be considered for this position, applicants must show evidence of experience related to the five (5) Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs).
Applicants must address the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs).

The resume should demonstrate the necessary level of management skills, characteristics, qualities, specialized knowledge, and technical competence that would indicate successful performance in the SES. Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

We are looking for an individual to serve as the SES Branch Director, Commercial Litigation Branch, Civil Frauds Section. The Civil Frauds Section spearheads the Civil Division's efforts to recover monies fraudulently secured or improperly diverted from the United States Treasury. Civil Frauds attorneys litigate many of the Civil Division's cases that have the highest monetary stakes. Working with the U.S. Attorneys' Offices, attorneys recover hundreds of millions of dollars each year from individuals and corporations who have defrauded the government through federal contracts, Medicare and other federal health insurance programs, subsidies, grants, and loans - - wherever the government's money is at stake. Many of the section's case are pursued under the civil False Claims Act and include cases brought by whistleblowers under the Act's qui tam provisions.
