The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
Employee is required to work a 72 hour week on a 24 hour on, 24 hour off basis tha includes weekends and holidays. May be subject to recall.
Requires employee work under adverse environmental conditions and falls under the respiratory protection program and hearing conservation program.
Requires the ability to discern colors, contrasts, and depth.
May be required to participate on HAZMAT team.
Incumbent must obtain/maintain certifications under NFPA standards adopted by DoD.
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

This is a firefighter position. This position is a Primary Firefighter position and is covered under Special Firefighter Retirement. Title 5 U.S.C. 3307 authorizes the head of an agency to establish a maximum entry age for the original appointment of individuals to the position of primary firefighter. For initial appointments, applicants cannot have reached their 37th birthday by date of appointment. An applicant reentering into a Primary Firefighter position may have the maximum entry age adjusted based on prior covered Firefighter federal service. Applicants who are entitled to veteran's preference may be eligible for a waiver to the maximum entry age requirement. REQUIREMENTS:
